Marco Barbaro – MIH Mastermind Co-Founder

Marco Barbaro graduated from Fairfield University in 1996 and turned down a position with GE Capital to join his brother Gino in the restaurant business. At just 23 years old, he purchased his first multifamily property — a four-unit building in New York — beginning his long-term journey in real estate investing.

In 2013, Marco expanded his investing activities beyond New York, partnering with his brother and Jake & Gino to acquire multifamily properties in Knoxville, Tennessee, starting with a 25-unit acquisition. Over the following years, he partnered on more than 1,300 multifamily units while contributing to the growth of multiple investment and management operations.

In August 2019, Marco stepped away from the restaurant business to focus full-time on real estate, education, and mentoring investors. Since then, he has helped investors grow their portfolios, build strong partnerships, and raise capital responsibly through education and coaching.

Marco’s strengths lie in networking, building teams, and creating partnerships that allow investors to scale while maintaining long-term alignment and trust.

As co-founder of MIH Mastermind, Marco helps guide investors toward building durable multifamily investing careers rooted in relationships, operational discipline, and long-term thinking.

Marco is a husband and father of three daughters, and he often says his life revolves around two priorities: family and multifamily investing.
